Parent Watch Week/Twas the Night Before Christmas Week

I survived! Today I had 6 classes with parents watching. It can be very fun, but it can also be a bit scary and even awkward. The classes with really teeny students is usually a really fun experience. Often, during classes with little ones there are many moments that I laugh on the inside at how cute and funny they are. When their parents are watching, there's lots of people to laugh with and I love how much fun they have!

On to next week.... it is going to be an adventure! I'm in Edmonton Festival Ballet and we have a tradition of doing 'Twas the Night Before Christmas every year. The shows are this week and I am going to be living at the theatre for 4 days! I just got the schedule for this week and it's going to be a doozy! On both Thursday and Friday I have to arrive at the theatre with my hair and make-up already done at 8:15am!! At least on the Thursday I should be done by 4pm, but on Friday I'm done at 8pm! It's going to be a long week but it will be very fun too! At least I will be spending time away from the school and somewhere new!

On a completely unrelated topic (my mind seems to be working that way today : D ) do you ever look through your kitchen trying to find something creative or new or interesting to make for supper and come up empy handed? I have been feeling so bored with cooking lately. We always buy the same food and make the same meals. While they taste good, I want something new and creative but still quick and fairly easy to make. Sometimes I wish I could have a zipper in my stomach so I could keep eating yummy food but not have to digest it, and sometimes I get so sick of food I wish I didn't have to eat at all. However, if someone out there reading this has a fave recipe that fits the above descriptions of what I want, please feel free to comment and share with a bored chef!
